ExpoPlatform has appointed former Reed Exhibitions event technology director Susan Merola as Chief Operating Officer.
Susan has been at Reed for 12 years, working with B2B show teams in the US to deliver new technology solutions for their events, and will now help ExpoPlatform to develop its customer success processes and tools.
During her tenure at Reed, Susan worked with ExpoPlatform on events including the company’s first virtual show in the US – JCK Virtual – in August 2020. She also worked with Reed’s PGA team on its highly successful virtual event in January, as well as the event’s year-round marketplace, a partnership she will now continue on the supplier side.
Susan brings expertise in digital product development and management, digital marketing and customer-facing digital project management, and crucial to ExpoPlatform’s growth; skills integral to bridging the gap between technical and business teams.
ExpoPlatform CEO Tanya Pinchuk said: “Susan’s ability to evolve our company’s platform with fresh organiser perspective and experience working with show teams continues a string of appointments from the organiser side. We welcome her into the fold as we tailor our service and solutions for a new and growing audience.”
“I’m excited to be joining ExpoPlatform because of their great team and great product,” said Susan. “I’ve been impressed by how I’ve seen the platform continuously evolve over the past year in response to customer needs and look forward to being a part of that evolution going forward, enhancing the onboarding and delivery processes and new customer success processes and tools.”
