International Rice Congress 2023

The International Rice Congress (IRC) is a global conference held by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI). It brings together experts, researchers, policymakers and stakeholders in the field of rice production and research.

This event serves as a platform to address challenges and opportunities in production, formulate evidence-based solutions and promote collaboration to enhance sustainability, productivity and profitability in the sector.

The 6th edition of IRC was held in Manila, Philippines, which is the home country of the IRRI headquarters.

The IRC is an academic event with a focus on presentations, panel discussions and networking. We worked with our partner DLG to deliver a customised event tech platform aimed at addressing these specific needs of the congress.

Our speaker and sessions module was fine-tuned with a more interactive interface and added filters to simplify the view and selection of various sessions.

We also customised the event mobile app to create a visually pleasing UI with enhanced functionality. This drove up app engagement significantly, resulting in 245k+ mobile app page views.

The organisers used ExpoPlatform technology to track and measure participant activity at different stages of the event, such as session visitors and the time they spent.

Our solutions also facilitated event data retrieval through check-in applications and scans, enabling the tracking of delegates checking in or out.

Participants further benefited from AI Matchmaking and Online Networking features to connect with their peers and expand their professional network.
