IMEX America 2024
Overview
IMEX America is the premier tradeshow for the global meetings, events and incentive travel industry. It is held annually in Las Vegas by the IMEX Group.
The three-day event serves as a major platform for industry professionals to connect, network, discover trends and showcase innovative products.
For the 2024 edition, ExpoPlatform continued its successful partnership as the event’s official tech provider, fuelling connections and meetings with its web and mobile app solutions.

Tech-ing up for 2024
IMEX America 2024 built on its successful partnership with ExpoPlatform, using an improved version of the event tech suite that powered the previous year’s record-breaking edition.
The event anticipated new heights for participation of buyers and exhibitors, with over 150 education sessions also planned.
Our team implemented a number of enhancements to the platform to ensure a seamless and more engaging experience. These included:
- Newly refactored iOS app with more seamless performance
- New features added such as:

- List view for the My Schedule tab
- Scheduling feature to show availability of both parties when booking meetings
- Web platform enhancement – recommended listing of exhibitors and products (turned off by default)
Hitting new heights of engagement
The IMEX event app proved to be a crucial tool in maximizing meetings and connections.
Its intuitive interface allowed attendees to browse exhibitor profiles, schedule meetings – even before doors opened – and engage in meaningful conversations, which increased the acceptance rate for meeting requests.
Participants fully utilized the app’s free lead scanning feature, resulting in a record number of unique scans.
The education sessions were also a huge hit, with ExpoPlatform’s tech powering the interactive sessions and facilitating knowledge sharing.
In addition, our integration with ExpoFP and Crowd Connected to produce an interactive floorplan helped provide seamless navigation abilities to participants using blue-dot wayfinding.
They could quickly locate booths and sessions on the show floor – helping to optimize their time and reduce stress.
Setting new records, year after year
IMEX America 2024 continued to soar new heights, with this year’s show surpassing the previous year’s records. Here’s a look at the numbers:
- 15,800+ attendees (highest participation recorded to date)
- 85,000+ pre-scheduled meetings (80.1% acceptance rate)
- 161k+ unique scans (24% rise from 2023)
- 675k+ favorites (42% jump from last year)
- 574k+ conversations (46% increase from 2023)
The massive success of the 13th edition of IMEX America reflects a strong business pipeline and renewed confidence in the sector.
By surpassing its own benchmarks year after year, IMEX America has once again positioned itself as the leading force in the global meetings and events industry.
Over the last couple of years we’ve been through a major digital transformation – this was hard work but it has really shifted the dial in terms of offering enhanced value and a seamless experience for all of our attendees.
We’re now in a prime position to build on that and IMEX America 2024 saw us extend our work with ExpoPlatform to further enhance the platform’s value and boost business growth for participants.
