
Media 10 acquires Futurebuild from Easyfairs
Welcome to the Week in Events. Media 10 has acquired the built environment exhibition Futurebuild from Easyfairs.
The show will co-locate with UK Construction Week London at Excel.
This will create a powerhouse event for the industry that will bring together over 25,000 visitors.

Media 10 takes over Futurebuild from Easyfairs.
Futurebuild – the UK’s leading built environment exhibition – has been acquired by Media 10.
The event and media business has taken over the show from international organizer Easyfairs.
Futurebuild will now be co-located with UK Construction Week London to create a super event for the built environment sector.
Rob Nathan, managing director of Media 10, said: “Futurebuild is one of the most respected platforms in the built environment, with a clear purpose and a strong industry following.
“Bringing Futurebuild into the Media 10 family and co-locating it with UK Construction Week London, will create a step-change event that serves the full construction ecosystem.”
The recently acquired Stone & Surfaces Show will also be part of the combined exhibition.
This super event will take place at Excel London between 12–14 May 2026.
A joint audience of 25,000+ visitors from the built environment industry is expected.

Deutsche Messe announces the launch of Industrial Transformation Africa
Deutsche Messe is expanding it’s global presence to Africa for the first time with the launch of a new show.
Industrial Transformation Africa’s inaugural edition is set to take place in Casablanca, Morocco during Autumn 2026.
The event will serve as a central platform for international cooperation, industrial innovation and tech transfer across the continent.
Jochen Kockler, CEO of Deutsche Messe, said: “Africa is a rapidly expanding and strategically vital market for industry, with Morocco playing a central role in this landscape.
“Together, ‘Industrial Transformation Africa’ and the Smart Factory Academy create a unique business model enabling us to engage with our customers throughout the year rather than meeting up with them just once annually at the trade fair.”
Deutsche Messe is also launching Smart Factory Academy Casablanca as a year-round platform that will focus on robotics, automation and Industry 4.0.
This will complement the annual Industrial Transformation Africa trade fair.
These combined platforms are part of the event organizer’s integrated, 365-day strategy on sustainable expansion and impact within the African market.
Exhibitions & Conferences Alliance reveals new 2026 appointments to its board of directors
The Exhibitions & Conferences Alliance (ECA) has announced its new officers and board of directors.
Each will serve a term of one year on the board which will conclude on December 31st 2026.
The appointments include:
- Fernando Fischer of RX: Chair
- Mark Bogdansky of Trade Shows and Community Engagement, Auto Care Association: Vice chair
- Chris Griffin of Crew XP: Treasurer
- Herve Sedky of Emerald: Secretary
Fernando Fischer, president of RX Americas, said: “I am honored to work alongside this accomplished Board of Directors as we continue to strengthen ECA’s role as the unified voice of our industry and advance a policy agenda that helps create new jobs, reduce economic uncertainty, safeguard affordability and increase the competitiveness of the U.S. industry.”
Fernando will be taking over from Herve Sedky who served as the Alliance’s inaugural chair.
These elected officers will join ECA’s existing board of directors made up of leaders from various sectors of the American events ecosystem.
