
Deutsche Messe subsidiary opens new company in Dubai

Deutsche Messe subsidiary establishes Hannover Fairs MENA
Hannover Fairs Turkey is seeking to strengthen its presence in MENA by creating a new company based in Dubai.
The Deutsche Messe subsidiary sees establishing this latest operational center in a high-growth country as an important step in its growth strategy.
Hannover Fairs MENA aims to answer growing demand for more high-value trade shows in the Middle East and North Africa.
Mehtap Gürsoy has taken on the position of managing director for the new subsidiary as well as taking on the same role for Hannover Fairs Turkey.
She brings 20 years of senior-level experience in exhibition management and strong connections to key regional governmental institutions.
IMEX extends key partnerships to 2030
IMEX has extended two key contracts as they work to address the “evolving needs” of the events industry.
The collaborations with MGM Resorts International and GES have a long-term history working together to deliver IMEX America.
GES has been the general service contractor for the trade show since its inception, while MGM Resorts has been the venue partner.
Mark Mulligan, director of operations at the IMEX Group, said: “Our company value, ‘achieve together’, comes to life through our close work with MGM and GES.
“Together, we continuously shape and elevate IMEX America year after year to meet the evolving needs of the global business events community.”
IMEX has extended the contracts from 2026 to 2030 with hopes this momentum will continue.
The organizer also believes the partners are key to furthering their goals of sustainability and accessibility.
These are priorities the coalition will aim to improve as part of their joint goal to meet changing industry needs.
Jeff Quade, president of North America exhibitions at GES, added: “Together, GES and IMEX introduced and nurtured initiatives to meet the changing needs of the industry including sustainability with graphics, carpet and most recently pre-fabricated frames that can be reused many times.
“In the future, we see our partnership becoming more integrated, focusing on innovation in the way we service exhibitors and attendees.”
Messe Frankfurt launches entertainment and AV show in Thailand
Messe Frankfurt has launched a new entertainment and professional audio-visual event in Thailand.
The organizer’s Hong Kong subsidiary has created Prolight + Sound Bangkok in partnership with VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific.
It will host leading brands from the professional audio-visual industry, with hopes to capitalize on country’s growing entertainment sector.
Wolfgang Marzin, CEO of Messe Frankfurt, said: “Prolight + Sound Bangkok is a natural extension of the brand into Southeast Asia, bringing our vast resources and expertise in pro AV and entertainment technology to a region ready for transformation.”
VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific plans to leverage its local connections to create easy stakeholder relationships to enhance the show’s impact.
Prolight + Sound Bangkok aims to be a launchpad for international suppliers and brands to connect with Southeast Asia’s buzzing market.
The show will work to enable companies to capitalize on these opportunities in a cost-effective and high-impact way.
