Messe Dusseldorf to expand REHACARE global network with new strategic partnership

Messe Dusseldorf has partnered with the UAE-based Nadd AlShiba PR & Event Management.

A key attribute of the partnership is that Messe Dusseldorf has acquired a stake in AccessAbilities Expo.

This is one of the leading assistive technology events in the Middle East and will extend the reach of the organizer’s own health industry event – REHACARE.

Wolfram Diener, CEO of Messe Dusseldorf, said: “AccessAbilities will remain the region’s flagship, locally led in Dubai, while our strategic partnership – strongly supported by our newly established Messe Düsseldorf Gulf Office – aligns its strengths with the global network of REHACARE in Düsseldorf and China.”

AccessAbilities will remain an independent show but will be closely aligned with REHACARE.

The two events will share co-created content, unique insights and be guided by the same strategy.

Nadd AlShiba sees the partnership as key to boosting AccessAbilities with Messe Dusselforf’s expertise, which in turn will expand REHACARE’s global network.

Ghassan Suleiman, CEO of Nadd AlShiba PR & Event Management, added: “With REHACARE International, Messe Düsseldorf has established a highly successful business and networking platform that sets international benchmarks.

“This partnership allows us to build on that success, combine our strengths, and drive new initiatives in Dubai that foster innovation, exchange, and the empowerment of people of determination across the entire region.”

IMEX America 2025 closes with record-breaking results

One of the highlight business trade shows of the year winds down after another successful edition.

IMEX America 2025 celebrated a record-breaking event that saw participant and meeting numbers rise significantly.

This year saw participant numbers rise by 7% to 17,000 compared with the previous edition, while buyer numbers also increased.

Carina Bauer, CEO of IMEX, said: “This has been a record-breaking week where we’ve seen first-hand how transformative it is for our industry to meet face to face, to shake hands, do business and build bonds.

“The strength in numbers across the board is a sign of a sector that’s both purposeful and powerful right now.”

The show has also been estimated to have over 77,000 pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings this year – another record.

These had been booked through the app and platform provided by ExpoPlatform, who was once again the official technology provider.

IMEX and exhibitors had anticipated increased interest from attendees, with these figures suggesting those expectations had been correct.

Exhibitors increased their booth sizes in preparation for this – resulting in IMEX America’s biggest floor plan to date.

It comes after IMEX confirmed ExpoPlatform will continue to be the official event technology provider for its events for a further three years.

Alain D’Haese, COO of Easyfairs Belgium, said: “Our exhibition halls play an important role in bringing communities together.

“That’s why we are investing in sustainable mobility solutions that improve the experience for our visitors.”

This comes after the organizer also invested significantly in mobility infrastructure across its other venues.
