ExpoPlatform named matchmaking partner for UFI Global Congress

UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, has named ExpoPlatform as its official speed matchmaking partner for its upcoming Global Congress.

The 91st edition of the event will be hosted by Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany, between November 20 and 23, bringing together hundreds of colleagues from across the world.

Event technology provider ExpoPlatform will power a speed networking session to turbocharge connections, an exclusive format which was successfully launched at UFI’s European and Americas conferences this year.

Ana Maria Arango, Partnerships & Sponsorships Director at UFI, said: “Partnering with ExpoPlatform supports us as we bring this year’s UFI Global Congress theme, ‘Changes to Chances,’ to life.

“Their speed matchmaking technology turns changes in event tech into chances for our members to make new and valuable connections.

“We’re looking forward to offering a quality networking experience in Cologne thanks to this partnership.”

Mykyta Fastovets, CTO of ExpoPlatform, said: “We are thrilled to be the official speed matchmaking partner for UFI’s Global Congress, the flagship event for the exhibition industry.

“Following the success of our collaboration at UFI’s Americas and European conferences, we are excited to bring our advanced networking technology to facilitate meaningful connections for participants.

“Our platform is designed to enhance engagement and foster valuable partnerships – so we look forward to supporting UFI in creating a dynamic and impactful experience for its members.”

The UFI Global Congress is the exhibition industry’s largest and most international gathering, holding importance as a platform for connecting leaders from around the world.

ExpoPlatform’s speed networking format uses advanced algorithms to match attendees based on their profiles, ensuring that each meeting is a valuable networking opportunity.

The UFI Americas Conference saw a total of 102 participants take part in 357 one-to-one meetings during the 68-minute session in Monterrey, Mexico,  meaning each delegate averaged over seven meetings during that time.

Meanwhile, 287 meetings took place during the UFI European Conference in Zurich, Switzerland, with 82 delegates taking part in the session.

Here’s how it works:

  • Ease of use: No downloads or prior registrations are required so participants can connect intuitively and quickly.
  • Efficiency: The system organizes the entire meeting schedule, allowing participants to make the most of their event time.
  • Artificial intelligence: The advanced algorithm ensures each meeting is relevant and personalized for each participant.

The format results in a value-packed session of meetings, where meetings are curated to match the specific needs and interests of each person taking part – less wasted time, more connections made.

This partnership between ExpoPlatform and UFI highlights how both are committed to providing innovative solutions for the events sector.
