ExpoPlatform appoints Mark Gordon as Key Account Director
Event technology provider ExpoPlatform has appointed Informa alumni Mark Gordon as Key Account Director to support its rapidly expanding customer base.
An experienced event director with more than 24 years media experience – including a decade’s experience of working on virtual, hybrid and physical events – Mark has worked for some of the biggest events and publishing companies in the industry. His background includes roles at Haymarket Media Group, Media 10 and UBM, where he managed the annual London-based event industry show International Confex.
Mark most recently served as Event Director at the world’s largest organiser Informa, where he was responsible for a portfolio of large-scale B2B design events. During his time at Informa, he also developed expertise running virtual events (his first virtual event was in 2011), successfully pivoting brands across to the digital world.
His past events have been recognised with awards from the UK’s Association of Event Organisers, Exhibition News and the Event Technology Awards, and he was also one of the first event professionals to be registered as a Virtual Events Institute Professional (VEIP).
“With the event industry at a really exciting point in its history, I am delighted to be joining the fantastic team at ExpoPlatform,” said Mark. “I’m especially looking forward to using my experience to help event organisers take advantage of the amazing opportunities the platform gives to engage with their communities better.“
Mark is uniquely positioned to empathise with – and add value to – ExpoPlatform’s client projects, guiding them as they navigate their way through the new events landscape, according to ExpoPlatform CEO Tanya Pinchuk.
“We are looking forward to working with Mark. His extensive experience will help the company deliver innovative event technology solutions to customers across the industry and accelerate ExpoPlatform’s growth,” she said.
