Hyve Group has entered the $12 trillion global healthcare sector with a major acquisition.
The purchase of innovation platform HLTH includes three major events along with its year-round membership community.
HLTH maintains a strategic partnership with the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives for the ViVE event, which focuses on healthcare technology.
Mark Shashoua, Hyve CEO, said: “HLTH has long been admired by all of us at Hyve. It’s an incredible brand with an established reputation and this is thanks to its commitment to shaping the future of healthcare.
“HLTH’s dedication to driving positive change within healthcare strongly aligns with our own purpose of creating game-changing impact for the industries we support.
“By applying Hyve’s tried and tested centralised best practice model, and using our expertise in scaling meetings programmes, we can support the continued creation of return on investment for HLTH customers.”
HLTH USA will become Hyve’s largest event by revenue. The company’s client base includes technology and healthcare leaders such as Johnson & Johnson, Google, Microsoft and Meta.
The deal adds more than 80 employees across offices in New York, London and Dublin. HLTH founder and CEO Jon Weiner will continue to lead the organization.
Jonathan Weiner, founder and CEO of HLTH, said: “In Hyve, we have found an ideal partner to elevate our vision and unlock even greater opportunities for our community.
“We are incredibly proud that HLTH has become a catalyst for positive change, championing equitable, affordable, and accessible health for all.
“With Hyve’s expertise, centralised best practices, and commitment to innovation, we will enhance the experiences we deliver and reach an even broader audience of healthcare professionals and innovators.
“Hyve shares our vision and is deeply committed to our long-term success. I’m excited about the future of our events as we scale and ultimately play an even more significant role in advancing healthcare globally.”
UFI unveils brand refresh as it approaches centennial

Geoff Dickinson, UFI president, said: “Our industry has changed a lot since the beginning of this century, and UFI has changed with that.
“As the relevant global organisation for our sector, the new logo and appearance showcase how much UFI has grown and matured.
“We have a different role, a bigger responsibility now, and UFI’s new identity reflects this. It suits our organisation well.”
The wing design incorporates four strands representing UFI’s core functions: events, research, education and advocacy.
The green color scheme symbolizes the exhibition industry’s sustainable impact on business and society.
The organization will implement the new branding across its platforms ahead of the UFI Global Congress in Cologne, Germany, from November 20-23, 2024.

UFI, founded in 1925, adopted its first logo in 1947 following World War II. It serves as the global association for the exhibition industry.
CEO Kai Hattendorf added: “It is a testament to the great work done almost 25 years ago that the previous UFI appearance stood the test of time for this long and could be stretched far into this much more digital presence.
“But on the eve of UFI’s 100th birthday, it was time to re-think and reimagine what UFI looks like to ensure future success in an ever more digital environment.”
